Rocky Ridge County Park
Rocky Ridge County Park is a true jewel with 90 percent of the 750-acre park devoted to mature oak forest. Perched on a rock-strewn hilltop northwest of Hallam, York County, it provides breathtaking views of the scenic Susquehanna River Valley.
Rocky Ridge’s natural setting makes it a prime location for birdwatching – especially since the Susquehanna River is a stopover for migratory birds. Plus, the park offers opportunities for mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking on more than 12 miles of paths. The park also has softball fields and volleyball courts. During the holiday season, the park features a huge lighted display called Christmas Magic.
