Strasburg Rail Road
Rail fans, or ferro-equestrians, and the rest of the family will enjoy the Strasburg Rail Road’s ride to Paradise on America’s oldest short-line railroad. Experience the journey on a 45-minute ride that offers an undisturbed glimpse of Amish farm country.

Relax to the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels rolling down the rails behind a larger-than-life coal-burning steam locomotive. Ride beautifully restored, Victorian-style vintage passenger cars.

The Strasburg Rail Road offers many special events throughout the year and has several gift shops and special behind-the-scenes tours for the diehard railroad fan.

The Strasburg Rail Road is helping to preserve Lancaster County farmland - one passenger at a time. For every regular train ticket purchased, the Strasburg Rail Road is donating 5 cents to the Lancaster Farmland Trust. The money will be used to help preserve the farmland along the railroad line. The train travels past more than 20 farms and more than one thousand acres of land - providing one of the best views Pennsylvania Dutch Country has to offer.
