Susquehanna Gateway Heritage Area - SITE
Theodore A. Parker Natural Area
Named for an internationally known ornithologist and Lancaster County native, this 90-acre park is located in the southeastern portion of the county.
It features Stewart’s Run, a pristine stream complete with waterfalls. Hiking trails, cross-country skiing and animal life, including deer, raccoons, opossum, and brown and brook trout, offer visitors lots to see and do.
Spring wildflowers bloom every April and May but the park also features ferns, lichens and mosses.
Stream fishing and trapping are permitted in season.
Restrictions: No alcohol. Hunting and gishing allowed during authorized seasons.
