Wallace-Cross Mill
Built in 1826 by Alexander Wallace, The Wallace-Cross Mill, located in East Hopewell, York County, was operated continuously until the 1980's with water power supplied by Rambo Run.
Wallace, who operated the mill until 1861, also built a beautiful stone home overlooking the valley. At its busiest period in the 1950's, the mill ran 24 hours a day, seven days a week grinding corn, wheat, barley and oats.
Listed on the Pennsylvania Inventory of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places, Wallace-Cross Mill is open by special request and for special programs from April-October.
