York County Historical Society Museum & Library
The York County Historical Society Museum & Library is a world-class museum and research facility that also houses ongoing exhibits on York’s transportation, places of work and worship and local apothecary, cabinetmaker and printers’ shops.
From a Conestoga wagon to tiny photographs, the historical society’s museum and library have fascinating artifacts that relate to York history.
The museum and library building, constructed in 1921 as an automobile dealership, still has the original showroom floor in the spacious two-story entrance hall. In addition to more than 10,000 square feet of exhibitions, this building also houses the main offices for the York County Heritage Trust.
