D. F. Buchmiller Park
Dulon F. Buchmiller donated the park's property to Lancaster City in 1922. The County of Lancaster acquired the park, which has become known for its open lawn areas and beautiful plantings in 1977. Today, D.F. Buchmiller Park has a variety of facilities and activities to make your visit enjoyable and relaxing.
There are 3 pavilions, each in a unique setting.
If tennis is your sport, the park has 6 tennis courts, which are free of charge and available on a first come, first serve basis. Prefer volley ball? The park has a court, but you must supply the net. To reserve a tennis court for a small fee or to rent a volley ball net, please contact the Park Office at Central Park, 717-299-8215.
Do you like golf but do not have a set of clubs handy? No need to worry. The park has one of 2 public disc golf courses in Lancaster County. If you can throw a Frisbee, then this 18-hole course will provide fun for the entire family or group of friends.
If walking or cross country skiing is more your speed, the park has a half mile dirt/grass trail. The trail's difficulty is easy.
Have little ones with you? Take advantage of the playground, for the child in everyone.
Restrictions: No alcohol or hunting.
