Fulton Opera House
Built in 1852 on the site of the former Lancaster County Prison, the Fulton Opera House is one of only three theatres nationwide designated as a National Historic Landmark . The Victorian-style Fulton is rumored to be haunted. But what great historic theatre in America isn’t? Dozens of legendary performers, such as Sarah Bernhardt, Al Jolson, Mark Twain, the Barrymores and W.C. Fields performed at the Fulton. Extensively renovated in 1995, the theatre proudly serves as an artistic home - entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences with plays, musicals and orchestra performances.
