River Art Collection Open House, 10/18/2010, Wrightsville, PA - Susquehanna Gateway Heritage Area (SGHA) is hosting an Art Open House for the Visions of the Susquehanna River Art Exhibit on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 5-9pm. This collection is housed at SGHA’s office, The Zimmerman Center for Heritage and includes works purchased from the original Visions of the Susquehanna exhibit which toured museums in the mid-Atlantic region several years ago. It also includes new works by regional artists recently acquired in an ongoing effort to expand the collection. Rob Evans, collection curator and local artist will be on hand to answer questions and sign copies of the collection book “Visions of the Susquehanna” as well as posters of his Migration painting, from the Peninsula Fine Arts Center Exhibit. The books and posters will be available for purchase at the open house.
There is no cost to attend the open house, however donations to support and maintain the art collection are appreciated. The Zimmerman Center is located on the Susquehanna River at 1706 Long Level Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
