SGHA is pleased to be the host facility of the first ever, peramant collection of Susquehanna River Art, Visions of the Susquehanna. This acclaimed exhibit was currated by Rob Evans,
a York County Artist. SGHA hosts select pieces from the collection.

The collection is exhibited at the John & Kathryn Zimmerman Center for Heritage at Historic Pleasant Garden, along the river south of Wrightsville. The gallery is open to the public from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the First Friday of each month. Donations are appreciated. Guided group visits to view the collection are available by special appointment for a moderate fee - please call or email to schedule.

How can I help keep this River Art collection together?

While the initial phase of acquisition has been completed, we are still hoping to increase the collection with additional pieces. There are two ways you can help - through general donations and through adopting a painting

Adopt a Painting Program

Donors contribute the full cost of an available painting and it will be acquired in your name to be part of the exhibit.  In addition to permanent recognition on the wall label, Adopt a Painting donors will also receive         thank you gifts at the Bald Eagle level. Several of the acquired paintings are still available for adoption/naming.
