Funded assessment of regional potential for historic mill heritage interpretation and tours.

Heritage Motor Coach & Group Tours

Worked with partners to create group tour experiences showcasing regional cultural and historical resources.

Susquehanna Greenway Partnership

Served as regional lead organization for the lower region of the Susquehanna Greenway to implement the Partnership’s strategic action plan.

Along the Susquehanna Exhibits & Website

Worked with partners to develop collaborative exhibits and programs highlighting Susquehanna River history.

Pennsylvania Civil War Trails

Worked with state and regional partners to promote local communities as gateways to the Civil War experience.

African-American Heritage Tours

Sponsored tours featuring Columbia’s untold stories of the Underground Railroad and African-American heritage.

River Towns Architectural History Tour

Funded first-ever joint architectural tour of historically   significant homes and sites in Wrightsville and Columbia.  

Quest for Freedom Heritage Tourism Corridor

Funded development of on-line tourism opportunities   targeted towards African-American heritage travelers.

Regional Wayfinding Plan

Supporting development of a regional signage system to guide visitors to cultural and commercial destinations.

Battle of Hanover Heritage Trail

Funded interpretive panels depicting points of interest and events of the Battle of Hanover.

May 19, 2012 Market Street closes for the day as thousands of visitors shop for "attic and cellar" bargains, hunt for antique and craft gems, eat delicious food, listen to music, and say hi to friends from last year. For over 25 years, Marietta Day has been a springtime tradition. 9am-3pm rain or shine
4th Fridays in Columbia
May 25, 2012 Experience Columbia's art galleries, anitque shops, participating specialty shops, and local eateries. This self guided event provides the opportunity to view exhibits from local and visiting artists, enjoy refreshments, and discover the uniqueness of Columbia.
York CVB Photo Contest
Jun 1, 2012 Now through June 30th, the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau invites talented local photographers to capture the charm and beauty of York County and share unique stories of the region. The Bureau is launching a photo contest for local photographers to submit their images that showcase York County as a destination.

Jun 10, 2012 The Washington Boro Society for Susquehanna River Heritage will host an open house at the Heritage Center on Blue Rock Road in Washington boro on June 10 from 1-4pm. The event includes exhibits and historical artifacts.
