SGHA worked with the Lancaster County Planning Commission, York County Planning Commission, PA Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau and York County Convention & Visitors Bureau, to restart the Lancaster County Heritage program and create a York County Heritage program.
The programs both include a process that managers of historic resources can use to become designated as authentic heritage sites, services, or events. Other communities around the country have used the program as a template to build similar heritage tourism programs.
