Support our efforts along the Susquehanna

Since designation as a PA Heritage Area in 2001, SGHA has helped advance heritage tourism and conservation initiatives throughout the Lancaster & York Counties with a special focus on the Susquehanna River.

As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, we rely on private donations to help support our programs, projects, and operations.

Ways you can support us:

Membership

SGHA offers annual memberships to help support our efforts. Members receive discount tickets for SGHA events as well as other benefits.

Donations

Donations can be made to our General Fund or River Art Fund.

Volunteer

SGHA is in the process of building our volunteer base and we need your help! There is something for everyone!

On-line Store

Help support SGHA by purchasing one of our many maps or books we have available on our online store.

Feb 25, 2012 Opening Reception Friday 2/24, show opens 2/25. "From Bits To Pieces" is an exhibit focusing solely on collage and assemblage, while honoring local women who express themselves through this media.
Susquehanna Indian Village Hike
Feb 25, 2012 Join Shank's Mare and local resident and archaeologist Jan Klinedinst on a guided hike on the Native Lands Trail portion of the Mason-Dixon Trail. We will visit the sites of our “Andastes” villages and other prehistoric and historic settlements along the Susquehanna.
Susquehanna Stories at Shank's Mare Outfitters
Mar 1, 2012 Shank’s Mare’s Dining & Learning programs feature guest speakers offering a range of subjects mostly geared to the Susquehanna River’s ecological features, historic places, and the interesting people who have made their homes here for centuries. The programs begin with a delicious dinner in The Rookery, followed by the presentation during dessert and coffee. Reserve a table for friends or family, or come on your own.
