Abigail Teaford joined Susquehanna National Heritage Area in August of 2020 as a Boat Tour Docent and a Visitors Service Representative at the Zimmerman Center for Heritage. A recent graduate of Juniata College’s Museum Studies and History program, Abby assists with exhibition development of the new Susquehannock gallery, leads house tours of Dritt Mansion, and tours of Native Lands Heritage Trail.

Interested in history from a young age, Abby has lived most of her life in York county. She is passionate about connecting history with the present along with engaging audiences through exhibition design and interpretation. Abby has participated in the curation of nine exhibitions for Juniata College Museum of Art. In 2018, she completed the National Institute for American History and Democracy’s Collegiate program in Material Culture and Public History, which allowed her to intern with the art curatorial department of Colonial Williamsburg. Abby enjoys hiking, reading, and travelling to visit historic sites.
