Judy Leece is a former college writing instructor who spends her retirement delightfully pursuing her many interests: knitting; spinning; reading; gardening with native plants; editing a small quarterly shepherding newsletter; volunteering at lifelong learning program and her church; and being co-chair of the annual fleece sale and show for the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.

Conducting house tours at the Susquehanna Heritage’s Zimmerman Center for Heritage, is a highlight of her week as she gets to learn and share information about the house, its architecture, place in history, and the early geological and cultural surroundings that make the site well suited as a National Park Visitor Contact Station for the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail!
