Canoemobile Public Paddle

October 5 at 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

The Wilderness Inquiry Canoemobile is a roving fleet of 24-foot, 10-passenger Voyageur canoes that travels the country to connect people to their local waterways and the great outdoors. As part of its national tour of over 17 cities, the Canoemobile will be stopping along the Susquehanna River in Columbia, PA from October 1-5 to bring the experience to local 5th graders from surrounding school districts.

On October 5th, join us at Columbia Crossing from 8:30 am – 2 pm for a session open to the public where people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities can paddle in the canoes, learn about canoe and water safety, and discover the Susquehanna from a new perspective.

Recommended for ages 8 and up, children under the age of 12 must have an adult with them in the canoe.

No registration required. Paddling spots will be filled up on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis and canoes will be going out as they are filled.

Funding support provided by The Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network
